R.S College of Education was established in the 2007 by Kathua Educational Society, Kathua a registered society . The Society has taken the responsibility and has made a sole - motto of disseminating knowledge and information , imparting education , bringing about social and cultural awakening , paving the way for scientific and technological advancement , uplifting the children of backward classes , scheduled caste and scheduled tribes illuminating the torch of education in far flung areas of the district especially the ackward areas.
For us the development of professional abilities and professional commitment of trainee teachers is most important. It is our endeavour that the future teachers of our institution are cosmopolitan in understanding of the world and should be able to see relationship across disparate fields. A Number of educational institutions are being run by the society in different areas of the District. The Society has pledged to impart quality education to children of both the sexes on line which shall lay emphasis on character building inculcating love in them for their country and cultural and thus producing proud , law abiding and patriotic citizens of India
